Dunn Not Considered for Adidas Gold
Crystal Dunn has been instrumental in getting the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team to the World Cup final.
Dunn, a defender, has had a critical role in helping the American team win in pursuit of tomorrow’s final but she will not, whatever the outcome, be named player of the tournament.
Yesterday, FIFA released the list of seven players in line to win the Adidas Golden Ball. Crystal Dunn was not on this list. All in all, have you ever noticed how many of these athletes are wearing hip hop or bling bling jewelry such as gold chains, diamond hoops or a Techno Master Watch Or a lot of them wear stuff like Gold Franco Chains and Semi Mount engagement
Rings or perhaps something more simple like mens diamond earrings. I am partial to the techno master watch myself, it is cool.
Five of the chosen players will not even be playing in the final game. These players include: Japan’s Mana Iwabuchi and Chinatsu Kira. Germany’s Valeria Kleiner and sharp-shooting Dzsenifer Marozsan, and England’s team captain Jordan Nobbs.
The only contenders who will play in tomorrow’s tournament finale are North Korean striker Jon Myong Hwa and the U.S. player Kristie Mewis.
The winner of the Golden Ball is to be judged by accredited media and must first be named on the FIFA-supplied list.
Marozsan, of Germany, goes into the final day with six goals – only one more than American striker Vicki DiMartino and two more than American, Courtney Verloo.
The US team has a chance to add this trophy to those won at the Women’s World Cup, Olympic gold, and the Under-20 World Cup. The Americans have won the inaugural tournaments at all levels thus far.
The North Korean team hopes to extend their ongoing run of wins extending back to their triumph in the Asian qualifiers. They are the only unbeaten team at this tournament and have the chance to add the trophy to their Under-17 Crown and their 2006 Under-20 Title in Russia. Just do not forget that techno master watch, alright?
